Duties:
Teach musicology courses for music majors, music Masters students, and for the wider university population. Actively contribute to the research profile of the College and the University. Participate in service activities as appropriate to rank.
Develop new, introductory-level, large-volume, online course on an innovative topic, appealing to undergraduates, including non-majors, that complements current offerings.
Teach undergraduate core courses in historical musicology/ethnomusicology, depending on areas of specialization.
Teach special topics seminars in areas of expertise or as needed by the College, for upper-level undergraduate and Masters students in music.
Supervise Masters theses in Musicology and participate in Masters-level committees.

University of Tennessee’s musicology unit within the Natalie L. Haslam College of Music is an integrated program in historical musicology and ethnomusicology.
