The Yale Journal of Music & Religion (YJMR) invites article submissions on topics related to religion and music across a range of traditions and methodologies. We are pleased to offer an accelerated review process for submissions received prior to April 1, 2026, and will be considered on a rolling basis.
The YJMR is a forum for the study of sacred music in its ritual, artistic, and cultural contexts. Twice yearly, this peer-reviewed, open access journal publishes scholarship on religious music of all traditions, situating it within the worlds of beliefs and practices. Projects submitted may be from any geographical region or historical period.
Article submissions should be submitted on the following YJMR webpage for review, and authors are welcome to contact Editor-in-Chief Jeffers Engelhardt regarding their submission.
