Deadline: 1 September 2026, 11:59 p.m. ET
The American Musicological Society (AMS) is calling for volunteers to help run its 2026 AMS Annual Meeting to be held online on 14–15 and 19–20 November 2026. In exchange for 6.5 hours of service, volunteers will receive a waiver of the meeting registration fee. Volunteers must be current members of the American Musicological Society.
Because the 2026 AMS Annual Meeting will be held online, volunteers will primarily be assigned to serve as webinar room monitors and provide technical support. However, there will be a limited number of in-person events taking place across North America, which will be recorded and/or streamed to the broader conference audience. In the application form, please indicate if you would be interested in volunteering for an in-person event in your area.
Space is limited and the AMS cannot guarantee that all who apply will be assigned a volunteer role. So, if you are interested in volunteering, submit your application as soon as possible. The deadline to apply is 1 September 2026, 11:59 p.m. ET.
Please wait to complete your conference registration until your volunteer assignment is confirmed. If you have any questions, please contact the event organizers at events [at] amsmusicology.org.
