Registration is available for virtual attendance at the 2025 Teaching Music History Conference. The conference will take place at New York University, in New York, NY between 20-22 June 2025. The conference will include a special workshop presented in conjunction with the AMS Many Musics of America project of which will explore methods for teaching Asian American music history in the K-12 classroom. Registration rates are dependent upon employment status. See the preliminary program.
About the Teaching Music History Conference
TIMELINE: The Teaching Music History Conference is typically held in June. The call for papers is released in January, with proposals due in March. For students and K-12 teachers who lack professional development support to attend TMHC, the Society offers K-12 Educator Grants in American Music. These grants provide $500 to support conference attendance as well as cohort activities and special programming to strengthen the conference experience.
