The PhD prepares professionals for leadership roles in music research and prepares them for work within or outside the professoriate. One of the strengths of the Ohio State PhD program is its flexibility. Each student, working with a faculty advisor, develops a customized program of study corresponding to that student’s research and teaching interests as well as professional goals.
