The Society for Music Theory’s 49th Annual Meeting is coming to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, this November 5-8. More than 650 music theorists from colleges, universities, and conservatories around the world will gather for four days of connection, collaboration, and exploration of new directions in music research and practice.
SMT’s 1,200-member community spans academics, graduate students, and professionals at the forefront of music theory in higher education. This year’s meeting features 150+ presentations alongside workshops, receptions, small-group meetings, and plenty of opportunities to forge meaningful connections.
