CfS: Current Research in/on Musical Interpretation
Studies in Musical Interpretation Vol. 3 – Varia
Deadline for abstracts: September 15th, 2026
The series Studies in Musical Interpretation provides a forum for the diverse strands of twenty-first-century research on musical interpretation and performance practice. To reflect the current state of the field, we invite submissions for the edited volume Current Research in/on Musical Interpretation, to be published as Volume 3 of the series.
We welcome proposals from all disciplines and methodological approaches that engage, in the broadest sense, with musical interpretation and research on interpretation. The publication languages are German and English.
A distinctive feature of the series is the integration of research materials and data across media through platforms such as Radar4Culture and musiconn.music. We therefore particularly encourage submissions that incorporate audio and video recordings, datasets, scripts, or other digital research materials. Further information about the series is available at: https://www.logos-verlag.de/SmInt
The volume will undergo a peer-review process. Publication as Volume 3 of the series is scheduled for Autumn 2027 in both Open Access and print formats.
