CALL FOR PROPOSALS 2027 Conference on Music and Medicine Call for Papers Meetings & Events NEW

The Interdisciplinary Society for Quantitative Research in Music and Medicine (ISQRMM) invites proposals for its 2027 international conference, bringing together scholars, clinicians, educators, and practitioners to examine the dynamic intersections of music and health.

The conference will foster a dialogue to deepen understanding of how music functions  as  a modality of well-being in both clinical and community contexts.

Areas of Interest:

We welcome submissions on topics including but not limited to:

•  NeuroMusicology and Cognitive Neuroscience
• Clinical Music Therapy and Therapeutic Practice
• Music in Medical Treatment and Healthcare Contexts
• Music, Well-being, and Quality of Life
• Music, Spirituality, and Consciousness

We also encourage submissions that explore:

• Cultural and ethnographic perspectives
• Social science approaches
• Practice-based and artistic research
• Lived-experience and community-based methodologies
• Emerging and interdisciplinary research frameworks

Submission Guidelines:

Proposals should reflect rigorous scholarly, clinical, or creative inquiry within an interdisciplinary framework.
