The Asian German Studies in Music Working Group seeks to facilitate forming Asian-German themed panels for the IMS2027 conference (conference proposals due 15 June; https://ims2027.musicology.org/call-for-papers/). You’re cordially invited to join our one-hour ‘pitch slam’ to present and workshop your ideas. The latter part of the hour will be for break-out groups, where ideas can be more collaboratively fleshed out. If you can’t make it to the scheduled time, you’re very welcome to send a short (max 5 mins) video to share your ideas in an informal way; interested participants can then reach out to you.
Please submit an Expression of Interest in participating to amanda.hsieh@durham.ac.uk and john.gabriel@unimelb.edu.au by 8 May. This can be as robust as a draft abstract for submission to the IMS or as preliminary as your name and a rough topic you’re working on.
Time: 11 May, 8am Boston, 1pm London, 2pm Berlin, 8pm Shanghai, 9pm Tokyo, 10pm Melbourne
