Deadline Extended: September 1, 2026
Momentum is building around Sound in Practice: Teaching, Thinking, and Collaborating.
Due to the enthusiastic response and numerous requests from prospective contributors, we are pleased to extend the submission deadline to September 1, 2026.
This edited volume seeks to advance conversations in sound studies through interdisciplinary perspectives on pedagogy, scholarship, creative practice, and collaboration.
We warmly invite submissions from scholars, artists, educators, practitioners, and researchers across the arts, humanities, social sciences, and the life, physical, and mathematical sciences. We are particularly excited to welcome contributions that expand sound studies beyond its traditional disciplinary boundaries and demonstrate how sound informs diverse forms of inquiry and discovery.
We look forward to receiving an even broader range of voices, methodologies, and perspectives as we continue shaping this vibrant and truly interdisciplinary collection. The full call for contributions can be found at https://www.cmmas.org/post/sound-in-practice-teaching-thinking-and-collaborating
